Money’s tight right now. Many of us are cutting back on spending and eating out less. Some are even opting to skip breakfast entirely! Insanity.

But instead of skipping breakfast (the most important meal of the day) to save a buck, what if you could get some free breakfasts? Many companies will give you freebies for joining their rewards programs. You can even get free food when you sign up at some places.

Breakfast Edition Freebies: 4 Completely Free Breakfast Items!

These offers are only available to those who sign up for rewards at each company. So, to clarify, only new rewards members are eligible for these deals.

1. Black Bear Diner

This Black Bear Diner freebie is by far the most exciting and generous offer on this list. So, of course, I had to tell you all about it first. 

When you sign up for Black Bear Diner’s Bear Lovers E-Club (the company’s free loyalty program), you’ll get a coupon in your email for a free Bear’s Choice Breakfast (total value: $11.99). 

The Bear’s Choice Breakfast includes: 2 eggs, a main dish, and a side.

For your main dish, you can choose one of the following:

• 2 pancakes

• 2 biscuits with gravy

• French toast

• Sweet cream waffle

The side choices for Bear’s Choice Breakfast include:

• 2 slices of thick-cut smoked bacon

2. Shipley’s Do-Nuts

Is there really anything better than a free donut? Yes. TWO free donuts. Or Do-Nuts, as they’re called at Shipley’s Do-Nuts. 

When you download the Shipley’s app and sign up for DoHappy rewards, you’ll instantly get a coupon for 2 free donuts. And free Do-Nuts do NOT disappoint! 

3. Waffle House

The Regular’s Club is Waffle House’s rewards program to treat its regulars to not-so-regular deals. 

I didn’t know Waffle House had a rewards program before this article, did you? But boy am I glad... Now we can all save more money when we have our deep conversations at the Waffle House like the Jo Bros. 

When you sign up for Waffle House’s rewards, you’ll receive a free order of hashbrowns. Those sound like a pretty good side dish to go with your free donuts from Shipley’s, if you ask me. Or the donuts could be the side. Up to you. Endless potential, here!

4. 7 Eleven

Joining 7-Eleven’s free loyalty program, 7REWARDS, instantly gives you 800 points on sign-up. 

You can immediately use those points to redeem a 500-point item, which includes any one of the following:

• A small coffee

• A large fountain drink

• A small slurpee

• A medium iced coffee

• Or a banana

Coffee is essential to proper brain function for some of us, so a free cup of Joe can really hit the spot in the morning.

1. Paris Baguette

Sign up for PB Rewards and download their mobile app to get a free pastry with your first purchase.

2. Caribou Coffee

Caribou Coffee gives you a free medium drink after your first visit when you sign up for their rewards, Caribou Perks. 

So this is not a free-with-purchase item. 

From what I understand, this coupon is sent out AFTER your first visit. Make sure that the barista uses your rewards account on your first order, so that this coupon is sent your way. 

3. Cinnabon

Signing up for Cinnabon’s rewards program gets you a free 4-count mini with any purchase. 

This reward used to be a freebie, no purchase necessary, but they’ve sadly changed the rules. It just goes to show you that no good thing lasts forever. It’s still a lovely free item with a purchase, though!

Final Thoughts

Rewards programs are a good way to cut corners and save a little extra money, while still getting to enjoy a lil treat. 

There are many other food apps and rewards programs that give you free food when you sign up. These are specifically the best breakfast freebies that I found in my research.
