USA Today recently reported that the average price of concert tickets in 2024 was over $135, with outliers like the $1,088 fans paid on average per ticket in 2023 for the Taylor Swift Eras Tour (NY Times). But if you want to see a show this summer without breaking the bank, you need to take advantage of the Live Nation $30 Ticket to Summer sale event!
Live Nation is selling $30 tickets to select concerts across the nation, featuring artists such as Avril Lavigne, Luke Bryan, AJR, The Driver Era, Weird Al Yankovich, and a whole lot more.
Live Nation’s $30 Ticket to Summer event starts tomorrow, May 21st, but certain customers can purchase their tickets today if they don’t want to wait that long!

What is the Live Nation $30 Ticket to Summer sale?
Concert ticket giant Live Nation has offered cheap summer tickets every year (except the dreaded 2020 when live music ceased to exist) since 2013. In previous years, the event was called “Live Nation Concert Week.”
Ticket to Summer is slightly different, specifically in the fact that the prices have increased from $25 to $30 per ticket.
Even with the $5 increase, these prices make tickets accessible to more people through this sale- you should take advantage of these prices!
Tickets are on a first-come, first-served basis. The event will last as long as tickets are available.
Are the Tickets Really Only $30?
Concert tickets come with fees, just like airline flights, hotel stays, and more. I don’t know about you, but I’m jaded from all those times I’ve gone to book something, only for the price to increase significantly. So, let’s ask the real question: Are these tickets actually $30?
The answer? Yes! And no.
The $30 amount covers your ticket and all other fees. The only thing it does not cover is sales tax. Sales tax is on a state-by-state basis. So, it shouldn’t be much more than $30 when all is said and done, which is incredible.
Concerts Available for Live Nation $30 Ticket to Summer
Not every concert Live Nation promotes is available for this deal. That would be too good to be true. The $30 tickets are for select shows across the nation.
To find available events, go to the Live Nation website and browse the nearby concerts. If the $30 promotion is a part of that event, you’ll see it listed alongside the other ticket options when you click on that concert (see picture below).
If the option is not there, the event is either not a part of Live Nation's $30 Ticket to Summer, or those tickets have already sold out. If there is a particular concert you want to attend that is a part of this event, you should get your tickets as fast as possible.

T-Mobile Early Access
Any T-Mobile customer gets early access to Live Nation $30 Ticket to Summer tickets starting today, May 20th. So if you’re a T-Mobile customer, you should grab your friends and buy tickets now!
The presale passcode allows you to buy 4 tickets, whether you purchase 4 tickets for the same show (if inventory allows) or four different concerts.
Rakuten Early Access
Rakuten members get early access to $30 tickets starting today, too!
Joining Rakuten, the shopping cash-back platform, is a little easier than T-Mobile, if you’re not already a member of the phone carrier, that is. You can sign up immediately and access the tickets. It’s free to join Rakuten, so if you don’t want to wait to secure your tickets, it’s the best option.

Similar to T-Mobile’s presale, you can only buy 4 tickets total using the passcode.
Final Thoughts
If you’re looking for something fun to do this summer (or the fall), you won’t want to miss this opportunity! I have to say, those $30 AJR tickets were very enticing- and if they were coming to a venue anywhere near me, I would buy tickets in a heartbeat.
Live Nation says there is a limit to the number of tickets you can buy, but it’s on a concert-by-concert basis.
